SNUGSHINE’s Glimmer Wins Silver at the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2025!
We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Glimmer the Glowing Unicorn Plush Set has been awarded Silver in the Best Mindful Soft Toy category at the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2025 (UK)!
This brand-new category celebrates soft toys that go beyond cuddles — those designed to comfort, calm, and support children’s emotional wellbeing through thoughtful design. The MadeForMums team said they were “really impressed by the efforts brands are making to create plush toys that encourage relaxation, empathy and mindfulness.”
For us, that recognition means the world.
When we (Sharon & Jonathan) created Glimmer, we wanted her to be more than just a bedtime friend but a companion who brings comfort, confidence, and imagination from day to night. Whether she’s joining a child on morning adventures, lighting up cosy storytime, or providing reassurance when the lights go out, Glimmer’s gentle glow is a reminder that bravery and magic can shine any time of day.
What the Judges Said
Child judge Georgia, aged 4, shared:
“I like when Glimmer lights up because she keeps me safe. She has stopped me feeling scared at night. I love her torch because I like the stories that come with it. I want to keep her forever.”
And the MadeForMums Toy Awards team said:
“We were blown away by our child testers' response to Glimmer the Glowing Unicorn. This very special unicorn helps children feel brave and secure in the dark as well as sparking imagination and providing a soft, comfortable unicorn to cuddle.”
